Young Dolph, Indie G.O.A.T, Renowned & Beloved Rapper Murdered Inside Of Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies Restaurant by Unknown Assailants with Machines guns and handguns using extended clips.


 

Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., was an American rapper and he released his debut studio album, King of Memphis, which peaked at number 49 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2016. Young Dolph was featured on O.T. Genasis's hit single "Cut It", which peaked at number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. 



For those of you who are familiar with the hip-hop phenom, Young Dolph was a success story long before 2016.


 


In 2008, Young Dolph released his first mixtape Paper Route Campaign. Two years later, he formally established his label Paper Route Empire in 2010, an independent record label not affiliated with a major record label, and subsequently released Welcome 2 Dolph World that same year. With the release of mixtapes High Class Street Music and High Class Street Music Episode 2 in 2011, Dolph began to develop his own rap flow, shifting away from a style similar to Memphis rappers Three 6 Mafia and 8Ball & MJG instead to a personal style described as "vociferous" with a "magnetic delivery and uniquely deep voice

 

"On Wednesday afternoon, Young Dolph was shot and killed inside a beloved local cookie shop in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee", authorities said.


"The 36-year-old rapper had been in town since Monday visiting an aunt who has cancer and was also giving out Thanksgiving turkeys." Young Dolph’s cousin, Mareno Myers, said.


“The tragic shooting death of rap artist Young Dolph serves as another reminder of the pain that violent crime brings with it,” Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland said in a statement.


Police tweeted they had no information to release about a possible suspect in the shooting, which took place at Makeda’s Cookies near Memphis International Airport.


Young Dolph, a Memphis Rap Legend, that became a worldwide star was killed in a shooting at Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies Wednesday, according to the Memphis Police Department.

"The rapper, whose real name was Adolph Robert Thornton Jr, was buying cookies at Makeda’s Butter Cookies at about 1pm Wednesday when a gunman drove up and shot through the window." The Guardian

Young Dolph:

“I’ve been targeted since I was 17, 18, 19,” he told the Guardian. “I just knew that I was good. Yet he wasn’t “a person that lives in fear”, he added. “You got some people who really worry about that kind of shit. I don’t.”


 

Dolph is survived by two children, Tre Tre and Ari, with his partner Mia Jaye.
