Christie Taylor, a media veteran and produced screenwriter, established Christie Taylor Consulting in 2019 to assist clients within the media, television and film industry. She oversees The Script Polishers, a screenwriting consultant service formed in 2013; serves as Creative Liaison for the Memphis Music Banq powered by On Location Memphis, Inc.; and Director of Content Acquisition at Black Lava Films, a home entertainment and interactive media company founded by Grammy award winning producer Michael-Anthony Taylor. Black Lava Films specializes in independent films, shorts, documentaries and video games. Christie recently launched RadioGyrl Production, which will lead and assist in the creation of content across multiple distribution platforms.
Prior to Christie’s move into film and television, she served as Hallelujah FM's afternoon drive personality in Memphis, Birmingham, and St. Louis. She hosted ND Radio Gospel Talk Show as well as weekly public affairs show, The Pulse. To further share her message, she executive produced her spoken word CD in 2007, “From My Heart: The Collection of Inspirational Thoughts” available on iTunes.
Christie’s venture into launching her own label was born from her early years in the music industry as a talented singer and songwriter in the gospel music world. A self-professed movie buff, her leap into film was as co-writer for N-Secure; selected as closing film for the 2009 Hollywood Black Film Festival, theatrically released in 2010, and distributed by 20th Century Fox.
As passionate as Christie is about radio, music and film, she is just as passionate about people realizing their purpose and living their dreams. As a result, the vibrant fast-talker launched Living LIFE Seminars where she motivates attendees to Live Life In Full Expression.
Christie’s charitable spirit enables her to be involved in a number of community projects specifically geared towards children and the arts as well as history preservation which lead to her founding the Jamestown Heritage Society. Her work in radio and the Memphis community was honored in 2008 by being selected as one of 50 Women in Memphis Who Make a Difference by the Memphis Woman magazine. This present-day Renaissance woman is Living her Life In Full Expression and inspiring others, through media and entertainment, to do the same.
