He launched a new record label this year with his son,
Larry Dodson, II. The new venture, Music Moves Records, premiered Larry D’s new hit single “I’m Good” on Friday, Sept. 4. The official release date is Sept. 18. It will be available everywhere music is sold and streamed.
Fans and R&B/Funk music enthusiasts can enjoy Larry D. live in concert on pay-per-view performing his new single “I’m Good” and all the hits as the original lead singer of the Bar-Kays including “Too Hot to Stop,” “Shake Your Rump to the Funk,” “Freak Show,” and “Grown Folks” on September 26 at 7 p.m. (CT). Jessica Ray from Made in Memphis Entertainment will be opening up for Larry D. Ray is the daughter of celebrated Stax Record bassist Ray Griffin. Tickets are on sale now.

Memphis native Larry Dodson also known as Larry D. is a multi-gold and platinum selling singer, songwriter, producer and author who for almost five decades has been the lead singer of one of the most influential funk and R&B bands, The Bar-Kays. Larry D.’s career has rewarded him with 20 top ten singles, 10 top ten albums, five gold albums, and one platinum album from the 30 albums that he has recorded with The Bar-Kays. He has proven that he is a musical icon. Having been inducted in the R&B Hall of Fame, the Memphis Music Hall of Fame; and honored with a music note on world famous Beale Street in Memphis, and
